Frequently Asked Questions About the Scholarship Program and Certifications

FAQ's: Scholarships and Cybersecurity Certifications

Are you considering applying for a cybersecurity scholarship program but have some questions? In this article, we answer some of the most common questions about the FusionCyber scholarship program and certifications.

  1. Does the scholarship cover 100% tuition?
    1. Scholarships for our Denmark cohort cover 100% of tuition. Kentucky pipeline scholarships meanwhile will typically cover 25% of the cost of the program. You will not have to pay back any scholarship amount.
  2. Do you use the GI Bill?
    1. Not yet, but we’re working on it, and it’ll be set up sometime this summer. We understand the value of the GI Bill and want to ensure that all veterans have the opportunity to participate in our program.
  3. Do you only offer Security+?
    1. No, we offer four certifications to choose from: CISA, CISSP, CEH, and Security+. However, Security+ is the entry-level certificate, and we recommend starting with it if you are new to the cybersecurity field.
  4. What do you recommend after finishing Security+?
    1. If you have completed the Security+ certification, we recommend taking the CISA certification, which focuses on information system auditing, control, and security. The CISSP certification is also an excellent choice for those who want to advance their career in cybersecurity.
